Computer Monitor Shelf & Organiser (Plans)
This computer monitor shelf is a great way to organize your desk whether it is at home or in the office. If you build the unit according to my plans it measures in at 28" Wide x 9" High x 10" deep.
This computer monitor shelf is a great way to organize your desk whether it is at home or in the office. If you build the unit according to my plans it measures in at 28" Wide x 9" High x 10" deep.
It can hold a computer monitor base approximately 10" deep x 10" wide or smaller.
The unit also has a built in shelf that can be used to store A4 sized paper or folders as you are working on them freeing up a lot of space on your desk, the unit also has a built in box to store your writing instruments or other items.
The shelf is also raised up off the desk to allow the keyboard and mouse to slide under. Whether you need to raise the computer monitor height or free up space on your desk this project will meet your needs. I am 6,2" and I needed a platform to raise my monitor to a comfortable height and this will work great.
The 10 page color plans go into great detail on how to build the shelf, included in the plans are fully dimensioned components and joinery details.
Speaking of joinery I used locking rabbit joints and dado's to secure all the pieces together. The monitor shelf only used 8 pieces of wood for a quick build.

Tools Need to complete project
This project is for a moderate skilled person because certain tools will need to be used including tablesaw with a dado stack, or a sliding miter saw to cut the wood pieces down
One other thing if you dont have the necessary tools for this project or you do not like the joinery methods used you can always change them but bear in mind that the dimensions of the pieces will also change.
I am selling downloadable PDF plans only , there is no hard copy plans for sale. I used A4 sized paper in a landscape format. The great thing about building this yourself is that it can utilize whatever wood you like, I used pine and oak because I like contrasting woods.
Please free to contact me with any questions regarding the build.
